I am hiring for two excellent opportunities with a Local Authority in the Midlands, who are looking to welcome 2 Principal or Senior Planning Officers to the team for an initial 3 month period, with the view to extend.
The authority are in need of a highly experienced and capable Officer to oversee applications consisting solely of a complex and large scale nature. Types of applications will range from Rural, to Residential sites.
As well as processing these applications, you will be required to represent the Local Authority at Planning Committee and be able to capably offer expert advice to all third parties involved in the Process (for example Applicants, Councillors, the Public).
Given the priority for experience with the role, my client has insisted to leave the rate open at this stage, and adamant will pay an attractive hourly rate for the right candidate, most likely falling between £45 and £55 an hour, depending on your level of experience.
