Our client, an esteemed independent property consultancy with offices nationwide, is currently seeking a talented, well experienced chartered surveyor to help run their London Valuation team joining as a Partner. The successful candidate will be a highly skilled and specialised individual with expertise in either Commercial, Residential, or Development valuation. Having a proven track record in leadership and proactive business development is essential, however, there is already a solid foundation of work in place to build upon.
As a Partner, you will be joining a dynamic London team and play a crucial role in growing the department, with scope for the team to be built in your own vision. The current client base includes all major banking panels as well as secondary panels, but there are abundant opportunities for expansion and attracting new clients. If you have experience in valuations for local authorities, year-end purposes, taxation and acquisition & disposal this would be ideal.
While the nature of this role is open to discussion based on the candidates’ strengths and expertise, the following technical skills and qualifications are important:
MRICS or FRICS
Valuation Registration Scheme.
Comprehensively apply the principles of valuation:
The candidate should have a deep understanding of valuation principles and the ability to apply them effectively for clients and colleagues.
Experience in securing new instructions and collaborating with both internal and external partners is of great importance.
Extensive knowledge of RICS core competencies:
The candidate must demonstrate a thorough understanding and application of all RICS core competencies relevant to valuations.
This includes staying updated on current legislation and regulations that apply to these competencies.
Specialisation and expertise:
The candidate should select and specialise in a chosen RICS core competency within the valuation domain.
You must ensure relevance and the ability to speak and report authoritatively on their chosen specialisation.
Proficiency in valuation software:
The candidate must be an expert in all relevant valuation software and possess the ability to train others in its effective use.
Report preparation and quality assurance:
The candidate should have excellent experience in preparing reports and providing advice, as well as proofreading reports and signing off more junior colleagues’ work.
Be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of the department.
The candidate should also assist in the correct use of templates, provide constructive feedback, and support the development of colleagues in this area.
Commitment to quality and productivity:

You should undertake qualitative audits of written documentation in line with discipline processes when required.
